Wates House student bar and restaurant offers a great menu, a coffee and milkshake counter and a full bar with a fabulous range of cocktails including a great non-alcoholic selection, draught beer, cider and a range of bottled beers.

Monday to Thursday: 12pm to 11pm
Friday: 12pm to 1am
Many of our facilities and services operate with reduced or altered opening times during semester breaks (such as Christmas and Easter), on Bank Holidays and during University closure periods.

What we offer
Our American style bar & grill menu features burgers, hotdogs, loaded fries and lots more with vegan and vegetarian options available.. Whether you are eating with us or just drinking, Wates is a great place to relax, and enjoy a drink from our fully stocked bar. We work closely with local suppliers, including Firebird Brewery, delivering high quality Beers and Ales. Our trained staff offer a range of hand shaken classic and signature cocktails. Don’t miss out on our Happy Hour, Monday to Thursday 7pm-9pm and Friday 6pm-8pm and 10pm and 12pm.

The Green Room
